Putnam’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat Night is a costume celebration every year!
Children and parents alike dress up in full Halloween regalia, and go trick-or-treating to participating local businesses throughout downtown Putnam. Many businesses and organizations that are not located in the downtown area will have a table set up along the streets as well.
Plan to stay in town for dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in town. And maybe do some shopping, too.
This event is sponsored by the Putnam Recreation Department.
The Town of Putnam, Putnam Police Department and members of The Putnam Business Association will have volunteers in place to help make this is family-friendly event with safe road crossings using the crosswalks.
TRICK-or-TREAT ROUTE: Trick or treating happens from River Front Commons (Kennedy Drive) to Union Square – and everywhere in between.
PARKING: Parking is available in the Riverfront Commons parking lot or in the public lots on the corner of Kennedy Dr/Pomfret Street, in Union Square, along the railroad tracks on South Main Street, in the smaller lots on Kennedy Drive along the River Trail, or on the 2 level public lot on Providence Street (Route 171). Additional street parking is available on South Main Street and behind the Putnam Public Library.
