Trick or Treat on Our Streets & Adult Costume Contest

Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1 PM – 4 PM

A FREE fun family-friendly district-wide trick or treat event with free activities in the Whitney-Audubon Retail & Arts District. Please let us know you’re coming. We want to make sure there’s enough candy!! Bring a friend! Come one, come all! More than 20 candy stops!

Candy Stops: Affinity Credit Union, Creative Arts Workshop, Clark’s Family Restaurant, Crepes Choupette, FedEx, Good Nature Market, Hong Kong Grocery, Katahdin Furniture, Katalina’s Bakery, Kennedy & Perkins, Knit New Haven, Koffee, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Naturegene Herb Store, Neighborhood Music School, Phil’s on Audubon, Pokemoto on Audubon, Ted’s Cleaners, Walker-Loden, Wellness Room, Willoughbys Coffee & Tea and Zoi’s.

Check-in on Audubon Plaza at 65 Audubon Street, between Phil’s Hair and Spa and Audubon Strings beginning at 1:00pm. Children who do not wish to participate in the trick or treat event, can visit select merchants on Whitney Avenue for FREE Face Painting at Katalina’s and FREE Glitter Tattoos at Walker-Loden, dance to DJ music (sponsored by Town Green District), and visit the arts organizations for an activity.

Adults and university students are encouraged to trick or treat too (costumes required) and compete for prizes at the Adult Costume Contest at 4:00 at 65 Audubon Street on Audubon Plaza – across from the Creative Arts WorkshopArts Council and Neighborhood Music School. Prizes will include $100, $75 and $50 gift cards to area restaurants and shops, and more!

A raffle for parents will take place at 3:45 on Audubon Street and will include merchandise, gift cards and more. Enter to win at check-in.

Free parking will be offered to the first 100 cars at the Audubon Garage 12-5pm (sponsored by Yale University Properties). Just mention “Halloween”.

This event will take place rain or shine and is free and open to the public.
