Maple View Farm

One of the oldest farms in central Orange. Built in the 1790’s, Maple View Farm was a working dairy and produce farm. The main house was the first house on the Green in Orange and is registered in the National Registry of Homes.

Alice Acres Farm Market and Greenhouse

Cows and Cones serves super premium ice cream and has outdoor seating overlooking fields with cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens. Come and greet Willis, a miniature donkey, and newest member of Alice Acres. He is in the fields with the cows and sheep. Buster and JackJack (cows) and the sheep are always in the fields Chickens are in their coop. Stroll around the farm and say Hi to the animals.

Creamery Brook Bison

This 110 acre working farm features a wagon ride that takes visitors out to the fields to visit 150 plains bison which swarm around the tractor.  Sure, this is the east coast but the sight of these high-shouldered, massive creatures evokes visions of the old west.

Fort Hill Farms

In the Spring join us for tours of our wonderful Quintessential Gardens including one of the largest lavender displays in New England. Summer brings pick-your-own blueberries and exciting events like our Blueberry & Bluegrass Festival. When the weather cools, things heat up. There is our annual Corn Maze Adventure, our pumpkin picking patch, hay rides, our own Farmtober harvest celebrations, and many weekend festivities like farm tours, organized hikes and more. Pell Farms

Pell Farm in Somers is definitely one of the best Connecticut spots for Fall fun. Aside from having hundreds of pumpkins and gourds to pick from, Pell Farm really caters to kids. Children of all ages will love the hay and corn mazes, and also the tractor hayrides through the woods. Pony rides are available for smaller children, and they will also love seeing the other baby animals at the farm. Pell Farm offers games, including a ring toss and football throw, where kids can win prizes to take home from their day of fun!

Foster Farm

Foster Farm in South Windsor is much more than a pumpkin patch! This is one farm that you definitely don’t want to miss this season. Foster Farm really takes corn mazes to a whole new level, offering over four miles of trails to venture through! The theme for this year’s maze is “Egyptian Adventure,” and adults and kids alike will love wandering through the corn together. Aside from the pumpkins, corn maze, and hayrides, children also absolutely love the play area at Foster Farm. With a pedal cart track and wooden pirate ship for kids to climb on, a day spent at Foster Farm is always a hit!

Rose’s Berry Farm

Rose’s Berry Farm in Glastonbury is the perfect spot for pumpkin picking before Halloween! If you are really in the mood for a nice day outside, then head to Rose’s on a Sunday, when they offer live music from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Other activities at Rose’s include face painting, a live scarecrow, a children’s play area, and a corn maze. Another thing that sets Rose’s apart from other farms is the private hayrides at night for parties of 25 or more. They provide cider, a bonfire, and marshmallows for an evening of fall fun with your favorite group!
