The Enchanted Forest A Hoot of a Halloween - Fairfield

Bring your ghosts and goblins for a hoot of a Halloween at the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Enchanted Forest on October 25. An excellent nature-themed alternative or addition to the traditional Halloween celebration, the Enchanted Forest introduces fascinating, entertaining (and educational!) information about nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. Participants will have a fun – but not scary – experience when they are escorted around the luminary trail by volunteers who light the way with flashlights. The night also features fall-themed craft making, Halloween snacks and a chance to meet some of the Center’s creepy and crawly critters. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. The Enchanted Forest is held rain or moonshine. Guided walks leave approximately every fifteen minutes beginning at 5:30 and the last walk leaves at 7:30. The Bristol Parks and Recreation Department will be holding its 17th annual Halloween Carnival and Costume Parade on Sunday, October 28th from 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the new playground in Rockwell Park. Children who wish to participate in the costume parade should arrive in costume between 11:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The afternoon will begin with a costume parade at 12:00 noon, followed by a magic show by the Amazing Andy from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Children are invited to participate in carnival games and arts and crafts. Halloween Spectacular – Westport

The Parks and Recreation Department, Downtown Merchants Association and Westport P.A.L. team up to offer a wonderful Halloween event for the children of Westport. Children will march up Main Street, trick or treating along the way, eventually making their way to Town Hall for more treats. Afterwards, a gathering on the Green will take place with fun-filled entertainment from DJ’s Music Mania and lots of cookies and juice. Snack and drinks from Parks and Recreation will be available. Don’t let the rain scare you…. the parade might be canceled but the entertainment will move to the Town Hall Auditorium.

Special Halloween Crafts will be available for the children to make and take home. Children are encouraged to come dressed up in costume to participate in all of the fun. TRICK OR TREAT - Mystic Seaport

Calling all kids: get dressed up in your favorite costume and come trick or treating at Mystic Seaport before darkness falls! This is a perfect and safe Halloween activity for children under the age of 10. Parents, please park in Latitude 41° Restaurant’s parking lot and walk across Greenmanville Avenue to the Museum’s North Entrance. Enter through the North Gate and walk along the pumpkin path to the village locations where spooks are hiding behind exhibit doors to pass out treats. This year, we’re excited to offer more spooky Halloween treats in the Planetarium pumpkin patch, carnival games with prizes on the Playscapes, a balloon twister and a face painter to create additional merriment during the party! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own trick or treat bag. A $15 donation per family is requested to help defray costs. Please pre-register by calling 860.572.5331.

Halloween Spooktacular at Westfield Connecticut Post – Milford

Westfield Connecticut Post will be hosting our annual Halloween “Spooktacular” event on Thursday, October 31st from 5pm – 7pm. Bring the kids dressed in their costumes for a chance to trick-or-treat at participating stores in the center. We will also feature live music and crafts. Children ages 12 and under can participate. Participating stores will have signs in their storefront windows to let shoppers know they are handing out candy.
