Get into the fall spirit and come celebrate Falloween, a festival of fun,with three themed weekends of fall activities for ghosts and ghouls of all ages.
On October 18-19, 25-26 and November 1st enjoy the Aquarium as it transforms with festive decorations of hay, cornstalks, mums, pumpkins and scarecrows. We’ll have games and special prizes, and our talented divers will carve pumpkins underwater! The fish even get in on the action, as pumpkins are a favorite treat. And don’t miss the new special Falloween sea lion show.
Most activities are free for members and included with general admission.
This weekend is all about pumpkins! You can make a pumpkin craft to take home, try your hand at pumpkin themed games and guess the weight of the giant pumpkin. As a special treat a master pumpkin carver with transform pumpkins into amazing pieces of art right in front of your eyes.
This weekend everyone can be a princess or a pirate. Follow the treasure map through the aquarium. Each mark on the map leads you to a new enjoyable game and waiting for you at the end of the treasure hunt is a special prize! Princesses are invited to make their own tiara, show off their princess wave, practice princess posture with a curtsy and book balance on their head to win the princess contest. Is the pirates’ life for you? Make your own pirate hat, shake the hand of Tall Captain Jack and do your best “Argh’ me mates” in the pirate costume contest.
It takes a lot of time and effort to create amazing costumes for Halloween. Come on November 1 and get another chance to show off your costume. Kids 12 and under who come dressed in a costume will receive FREE admission with each paying adult. Enjoy fun games, underwater pumpkin carving and a special Falloween sea lion show. Everyone who comes in costume can enter to win great prizes in the costume contests.
