Your Visit to the Connecticut Trolley Museum
View our exhibit on the History and Evolution of the Electric Trolley and its Impact on Society. It takes you on a journey of how the electric trolley evolved from the horsecar to the “modern” PCC. Also, learn how society was impacted by amusement parks (trolley parks), streetcar suburbs, and the growth of mill towns. Various trolley cars from our collection are on display within the Visitor Center.
Other activities within the Visitor Center geared for kids include a train table and coloring and game activities.
Included with your admission are unlimited trolley rides for the day – undoubtedly the favorite part of any visit to the Trolley Museum. Take a 3-mile round-trip ride on a variety of restored trolley cars from many different cities. Take a seat and enjoy the relaxing ride.
